About the Opportunity

A long‑established consultancy in Sheffield is looking to strengthen its building services team with an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer. They're keen to bring in someone who's already built a solid base of mechanical design experience and is now ready to push on toward a senior role. You'll be involved in a broad mix of projects and given the space to grow your technical and project responsibilities.

What You'll Be Working On

  • Mechanical design work across a variety of building projects
  • Producing calculations, drawings, schedules, and reports
  • Coordinating with electrical engineers, architects, and wider design teams
  • Supporting project delivery from early concept through to handover
  • Helping refine internal processes and contributing to best practice

What They're Hoping You'll Bring

  • Around four years' experience in mechanical building services design
  • Good working knowledge of industry standards and relevant software
  • Ability to manage your own workload and support the wider team
  • Strong communication skills and a practical, problem‑solving mindset
  • Experience within a building design consultancy or construction environment (preferred)
