Installation and Commissioning Engineer

 

Job Title: Commissioning Engineer

 

Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire

 

Salary: £35,000 - £50,000

 

 

 

Multiple vacancies – we are able to consider people who are Mechanical, Electrical or Control Systems engineers as well as Multi-Skilled.

 

 

 

Job Role:

 

To conduct commissioning activities within your area of specialism - mechanical, electrical or control systems. This will include both factory acceptance testing (FAT) and site acceptance testing (SAT), and may also include providing technical support to customers when required.

 

 

 

Office Based

 

• Assisting with generation of test and commissioning documentation

 

• Generate Testing and Commissioning Schedules

 

• Produce Risk Assessment and Method Statements to cover site activities.

 

 

 

Workshop / Site Based

 

• Carry out installation, commissioning, test and integration works

 

• Verify the installation works have been installed in compliance with the approved design documentation

 

• Carry out any fault-finding activities required during testing and commissioning works.

 

• Carry out system testing activities

 

• Support the overall Site Project Manager in delivering the electrical / mechanical installation, testing and commissioning activities to time and to standard

 

• Assist with final handover to client

 

• Complete all required documentation

 

• Carry out any required maintenance or service

 

• Attend breakdowns, identify faults and carry out effective repairs

 

• Follow all Health and Safety requirements

 

 

 

Key Skills/Experience

 

• A formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical engineering, Control Systems Engineering or very similar

 

• Previous experience in the installation, test and commissioning of process plant, pressurised gas systems, electrical control systems with PLC and HMI

 

• Familiarity with safe systems of work, permit systems etc

 

• Knowledge and / or formal training in Health and Safety Legislation

 

• Conversant with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)

 

• Happy to work away from home on client sites when required

 

• Hold current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification (for electrically biased roles)

 

• Able to interrogate and programme in PLCs (for control systems biased roles)
