Role: Inspection Manager

Location: Rotherham

Salary: 35 -45k

Nicholas Associates are currently working in partnership with a client who specialises within erngineering consumables. Due to success they are seeking a Full-time Permanent Inspection Manager.

The role of an Inspection Manager

This role will involve and developing a team of inspectors around 12 by providing operational support and expertise in various sectors and area's of the inspection process. The role is very hands on as well as varied & will consist of some occasional overseas work.

Main duties of a Inspection Manager

• Reporting on all manufacturing and quality related matters to the on site Branch Manager and also UK Production Manager.
• Developing and maintaining SPC processes across various facilities
• Able to evaluate all rejects via root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions where appropriate
• Develop and maintain both on line and off-line programming software for CMM's
• Regular travel between Rotherham and Bradford, as well as occasional overseas work
• Daily management of 12 quality inspectors across two sites
• To be familiar with all relevant Health & Safety, Management of Risk, Operational, Personnel policies and procedures.

Essential criteria for the role of Inspection Manager will be..

• Excellent practical knowledge of CMM's
• Working experience of measuring equipment and techniques
• Knowledge and understanding of SPC and process capability
• HNC / HND in an engineering related discipline
• Ability and experience of working with customers worldwide
• Able to demonstrate leadership skills at an operational level.
