Overview:

With manufacturing plants located across the UK, we now require a Health and Safety/HSEQ Manager to oversee all HSEQ issues on site at our manufacturing facility.

The basics:

Job Title: Health and Safety/HSEQ Manager
Location: Reading must be commutable to Theale base production facility
Industry: Manufacturing
Pay: 50,000
Hours: Mon-Fri Days – flexible office hours
Benefits: 34 days holiday, Private Health care, Pension, mobile and laptop provided

Travel: Travel to other manufacturing plants for training – all expenses paid

Reporting to: Plant Manager

Key responsibilities of the Health and Safety/HSEQ Manager role:

• Manage the sites OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 Management systems
• Help support the team to develop process safety systems/processes and embed the principles within the current HSE culture.
  
• Provide counsel and technical assistance to production team members/managers in the field of process safety management ensuring that line management maintain the ultimate responsibility for HSE
• Manage major accident hazard identification and risk assessment processes
• Develop, implement & improve key performance indicators to progress the process safety programme
  
• Minimise occupational and operational risk exposure and embed a culture of risk awareness and considered risk control.

The ideal Health and Safety/HSEQ Manager will have as many of the following in order to strengthen application:

- Previous experience working within a manufacturing/production environment or similar
- Degree educated
- Hold NEBOSH diploma/certificate
- Strong project management skills
