They work alongside construction companies and deliver civil engineering, groundworks, infrastructure, roads & sewers services to new build projects with the UK's top house builders.

About The Role:

Are you passionate about health and safety? Do you want to play a crucial role in creating safe working environment? Our client is seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Advisor to join their team. As a Health and Safety Advisor, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining safe operations across two key plant yards, directly contributing to the well-being of employees.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing assistance, support and guidance to management teams in implementing Company SHE Policy, along with all relevant and applicable SHE legislation, best practice, and innovation.
  • Striving to continually improve SHE practices across the business.
  • Carrying out routine health, safety & environmental audits across sites.
  • Thorough investigation of any accidents, incidents from beginning through to completion.
  • Reviewing processes and actions, providing solutions for improvement wherever possible.
  • Leading SHE Advisors, trainee SHE Advisors and responsible for Health & Safety Systems, Processes and Procedures.
  • Conduct Health & Safety inspections and site audits and recommend remedial actions as required.

Candidate Profile:

  • NEBOSH / IOSH certification is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations within the construction and plant sectors.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office programmes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Flexibility will be required as there may be occasional travel to site
