An exceptional opportunity for a Health , Safety and Environmental Director from a construction or heavy engineering background to work for a progressive and highly successful national business who is a leader in their sector

You will be responsible for driving the business forward and developing the H+S strategy for the Group

The role

Full accountability for all the sites

Develop and manage safety/risk improvement strategies providing feedback to the Board

Maintain compliance with all current/new HSE legislation

HSE Legislation, Policy and Procedures for all sites

Delivery of HS+E solutions

Create a positive H+S culture within the organisation and ensure that relevant relationships with regulatory and advisory bodies are maintained

Ensure policies and internal controls are interpreted, correctly applied and successfully embedded into the business

Provide strong leadership and manage the performance of the team

The person

The new Health and Safety Director will have had senior experience within a regulated industry sector such as oil and gas , construction, heavy engineering , nuclear ,rail

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Resilient

High level of self confidence and able to influence at all levels

A good understanding of multi-stakeholder engagement and be experienced in risk/crisis management
