Graduate Business Development Manager

My client, a global leading in health-care requires a Graduate Business Development Manager to work field based Covering the Leeds, Bradford and Harrogate.

Health-care or Dentistry background is a must to apply for this role.

Offering a very generous salary of 27,000 plus company car, mobile phone, laptop and benefits.

The Role

The role of the Territory Business Development Manager is a critical first point of contact with Dental Health Professionals & Dental undergraduates as the role represents the face of the Company to these key influencers.

You will use the latest technology-based presenting tools, visit all community-based dental practices and some hospital units primarily by car, and work with your professional customers to drive usage and recommendation of our products.

Occasionally slight changes to your area may be made as the business develops; this therefore requires excellent organisation and time management skills.

The key responsibility of the Territory Business Development Manager is to ensure that Dental Professionals (such as dentists, hygienists) use and recommend our products to their patients. You will be fully responsible for your territory accounts and be part of a unit team of up to 10 other Territory Managers.

You will need to influence a certain number of professionals per day and secure their engagement and commitment to using our educational tools within their practices (e.g. electric brushing demonstration units and educational leaflets). You may often (although not exclusively) encourage and support practices to stock and sell our products (available to them via 3rd party dental wholesalers). You will work with all relevant professional customers on your territory to ensure you create brand loyalty for the DCP's of the present and future.

Whilst the principle focus will be on the science based influencing of Dental Health Professionals at practice level, you will also be required to present at Dental Institutions and occasionally attend Congresses, Trade Fairs and Scientific Exchanges (occasionally out of normal working hours). The influence of owners of multiple Dental Practices, NHS Primary Care Trust (PCT's / CCG's) and other high leverage contact points may be included as an important strategic element of the role.

The Candidate

Candidates will ideally have health-care sales experience, but candidates with other professional sales experience or indeed a dental / health-care background are also welcome to apply.

This role would suit someone who has previously worked in a dentist and has a good understanding of the dental industry.

Candidates should be able to present themselves in a highly professional manner, with good written and oral communications skills, with a positive approach to delivering high quality results and a continuing focus on self-development. Excellent presentation skills are a must as presenting educational content to a large audience is often an integral part of the role.
