General Manager (Leisure) – Hull- Up to 30k DOE

My client is a well know sports facility in Hull and are now looking to recruit a forward thinking and ambitious General Manager to be responsible for the day-to-day management of the entire complex and its staff. This state of the art facility caters for people of all ages and abilities and prides itself on providing an amazing customer experience. This is a hands on role which requires the ideal candidate to drive an under achieving business forward, thinking of inventive and fresh ideas to open up new opportunities for the company.

Duties Include-

  • Working alongside a team of duty managers and managing the staff on a daily basis.
  • Ensuring a safe, clean and compliant environment for customers.
  • Adhering to Health and Safety guidelines and procedures and underlining these throughout the business.
  • Reinventing the company's business strategy and promotional planning with the businesses KPIs in mind.
  • Developing and growing sales within the centre by actively encouraging new bookings and bringing new customers through the door.
  • Think of ways to upsell and cross sell and revisit previous customers by making attractive proposals and promotions.
  • Creating a clear marketing strategy, utilising social media and the company website to ultimately bring in more revenue.
  • Developing the business and moving it forward increasing turnover and gross profit by increasing social, commercial and corporate bookings.
  • Responsible for recruitment and the training and development of staff.
  • Ordering and monitoring of stock, cashing up and the banking.
