My client is a internationally known manufacturing business who supply their products into the healthcare industry on a global scale. Due to changes in legislation, they are looking to engage with an experienced GDPR (data protection) Trainer to assist with the design and delivery of an internal data protection training programme.

Duties will include: -

  • In liaison with established in country teams, identify key audiences who require training on GDPR and the content relevant to them.
  • In liaison with GDPR Programme Manager, identify and articulate the key messages which need to be trained in and compile a set of key message materials and collateral suitable for general employees and specific audiences
  • Compile suitable training materials for relevant audiences, which local teams can tailor/ translate to suit their local needs
  • Advise the different geographic regions on how to train their more complex audiences and support them in delivering such workshops. This may include utilisation of a learning platform such as Moodle. The role could also include advising technical experts on training delivery methods, how to structure sessions etc.
  • Devise and manage a process to ensure training records are kept so demonstrating full compliance
  • Feedback on the quality of the training materials provided: clarity of messages, accuracy.
  • Completeness of training records

Knowledge, experience and skills

Essential

  • Experience of technical procedural/ training – both design and deliver.
  • Ability and experience of rolling out training programmes to a diverse audience, and working globally would be a distinct advantage
  • Ability to distil complex subject matter into straightforward, succinct documents and training materials

Highly desirable

  • Experience of training people in data protection/information security
  • Experience of working in a European team
  • Experience of working with Learning Management platforms, in particular Moodle.

  • A self-starter who is happy to work with minimal supervision. Someone who can quickly find their way around an organisation.
  • Good collaboration abilities, not concerned with hierarchy
  • Gets things done, at pace. Focusses on the job in hand and does not get distracted

This is an interim role which is required to provide support to ensure all employees globally receive suitable training on the new requirements for GDPR and data protection in general.

Initially a 3 months contract and an immediate start date is needed. However, the role may be extended depending on how the project develops.
