An exciting opportunity for an experienced FMCG buyer has become available with one of our clients.
Your responsibilities:
Manage both new and existing supplier relationships with view of building long-lasting relationships
Develop a strong understanding of the current market, identifying trends, competitors and working towards a higher commercial performance
Negotiation – ensuring prices are competitive, and all terms / service level agreements have been negotiated effectively
Strive to achieve yearly cost savings in line with the budget
You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of onboarding new suppliers / products
Closely work with other areas of the business to resolve any issues, queries and ensure that the supply chain runs efficiently
Take pride in your role within the business, bringing in new initiatives and enforcing reductions
About you:
Have several years’ experience working in a similar role / field
Ideally you will hold, or will be working towards, a CIPS professional qualification
You will have strong personable skills and strive to build a trusted relationship
FMCG experience would be highly advantageous
