Job Details

Position : Field Service Engineer
Location : Based South Yorkshire with frequent travel throughout the UK and internationally
Salary : 30,000-40,000 (negotiable)

Role : field based installation, commissioning, maintenance, service and repair of process plant

Skills Required : a blend of mechanical, electrical and control systems. Able to follow technical diagrams such as :_

• P&IDs,
• Wriing and electrical diagrams
• Control logic flow diagrams / ladder logic for plc control
• Equipment datasheets

• Flexible to travel (including overnight stays) when necessary, occasionally at short notice
• Qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Control Systems Engineering etc to at least HNC level
• Full UK driving licence

Experience

• Installation, commissioning, repair, maintenance, service of complex process plant
• Proven experience of working to the highest standards of health and safety, ideally in a safety critical environment
• Experience of working with sensors

Desirable

• Experience working with PLC control systems, hydraulic, pneumatic, etc
• Experience of ATEX regulations
