Position : Field Service Engineer (Mechanical bias)
Sector : Fork trucks, materials handling
Location : Base location easily reached from Sheffield, Rotherham, Chesterfield, Mansfield with work covering the whole of the UK and internationally. Your first 6 months will be mainly workshop based as you familiarise yourself with the products. After that you should realistically expect 1-2 nights away per week

Salary :

• Basic of 22,000-26,000
• Overtime generally available but not contractually guaranteed

Please note : due to restrictions on vehicle insurance we can only consider people aged 25 years or older with a full UK driving licence with less than 3 points

About you :

• Ideally apprentice trained in mechanical engineering or maintenance engineering or similar
• Able to read engineering drawings
• Understanding of pneumatics / hydraulics beneficial
• Field service experience preferred but not essential
• Experience of working on fork trucks or other similar materials handling equipment is preferred but not essential
• A can-do attitude, a problem solver
• Customer facing, polite and professional
• Happy to be away from home for 1-2 nights per week if needed. International work may require longer periods away but are infrequent
