The Basics:

Role: FAIRS Engineer

Location: Long Eaton

Hours: Mon-Thurs 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm and Fridays 7am-12:00

Contracted hours per week: 39hrs

Role: Permanent

Overtime: Paid at x1.5 Mon-Sat and double on Sundays

Holidays/Benefits: 25 days + 8 bank holidays, after every 5 years' service an extra day holiday up to a max of 4 days, annual pay rises negotiated yearly, pension, modern work environment, free parking, uniform.

Overview:

We now require a FAIRS Engineer to join the Quality department.

You will be tasked to:

  • Review of FAIR packs prior to internal / customer approval.
  • Raise of Data Cards prior to internal / customer approval.
  • Raising of other quality related documents as required.
  • To support the internal non-conformance process; raising rejects and ensuring all containment is captured.
  • To liaise closely with Engineering to ensure the smooth transition of new products - New Product Introduction (NPI).

Working in a modern purpose-built manufacturing facility for a high-end precision engineering business.

The ideal candidate / FAIRS Engineer may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

  • Must have previous experience reviewing First article inspection reports.

Commutable from: Long Eaton, Derby, Burton, Nottingham and surrounding areas
