Working in the estimating department at Head Office alongside the Directors, Senior Estimator, Estimators and Estimating Assistant, the ideal candidate will be report directly to the Senior Estimator, who supports the whole team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Produce high value tenders covering all aspects of curtain walling, windows, doors and cladding.
Inspect tender documentation carefully and analyse exact requirements identifying areas where quotations can be provided.
Ensure quotations are submitted professionally and accurately and reflect and demonstrate what has been included.
Extract information from tender drawings to allow quotations to be prepared and submitted.
Work from bills of quantities or simply tender drawings i.e. design and build basis.
Maintain and develop professional relationships with all clients.
Manage the tender process, as directed by the Senior Estimator.
Work autonomously and as part of a team.
Work to strict and often tight timescales and deadlines.
Consistently achieve individual sales and look to excel at set KPIs and targets.
Liaise and communicate with clients by phone and email and occasionally through site visits.
Chase up clients for information and to answer any queries.
Attend tender review meetings as required with the Directors to agree prices for larger projects, prior to issuing quotations.
Ensure that Health and Safety regulations are followed.
Undertake any reasonable additional or alternative duties required to fulfil the role and meet the Company's practical business needs.

Knowledge and skills
Experience of working within the glazing industry - minimum of 4 years preferred
Experienced in using Senior Architectural Systems
Experienced in using Reynaers, Comar, Metal Technology
A working knowledge Logikal estimating software
A good communicator with appropriate interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels
Ability to learn quickly and assimilate information from a variety of sources
Commercial acumen
Responsive and customer service focused
Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads
Flexible thinker with the ability to plan for and adapt to change
Excellent I.T. skills including Microsoft Office, in particular Excel and Word
Proven record of working in teams to achieve common goals
A working knowledge of construction industry legislation
Recognised qualifications for access on to construction sites
Ability to travel to operating sites
Full driving licence
