Job Details

Our client is a privately owned civil engineering sub-contractor and main contractor that provides groundworks and civil engineering solutions to a wide range of Tier 1 clients. The company undertakes contracts ranging up to 30 million and carry out all aspects of groundworks.

They are looking for an experienced Estimator who can demonstrate a record of achievement and significant successes in the conversion of groundworks tender enquiries, main contractor experience would be an advantage.

Role and responsibilities:

Report to the Managing Director
Prepare estimates with the necessary level of detail for all design stages
Manage job-specific estimating teams in the assembly and submission of bids
Review estimate assignments to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to formal submission.
Consult with clients, architects, subcontractors, and material suppliers to discuss and formulate estimates, effect cost reductions, and resolve issues.
Study specifications to assist the operations team in planning procedures for construction

The suitable candidate will need to have a good level of industry experience ideally working on similar projects, the successful candidate will need to have shown a good length of service to previous employers.
