Estimator (Engineering)

We are looking for an experienced Estimator to join an established South Yorkshire engineering and manufacturing business. You will be involved in a wide range of projects, helping ensure accurate quotations and successful delivery from enquiry through to contract negotiation.

The Role:

  • Work from customer drawings to prepare detailed quotations.
  • Produce accurate manufacturing cost estimates, including labour and materials.
  • Create routing information and liaise with sub-contract suppliers when needed.
  • Input data into the MRP system to generate quotations.
  • Monitor enquiries and communicate directly with customers.

About You:

  • Previous sales or estimating experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment. (Knowledge of CNC & Fabrications)
  • Strong numerical and commercial awareness.
  • Confident in dealing directly with customers and decision makers.
  • Proficient in CRM, CAD, and other relevant sales tools.
  • Flexible, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to maintain a strong focus on quality.

Working Hours:

  • 40 hours per week
  • Monday-Thursday: 7:00am - 4:00pm
  • Friday: 7:00am - 12:30pm (7:00am - 3:00pm alternate weeks)
