Nicholas Associates Engineering & Manufacturing is once again working with our long-standing client who is looking to appoint a hands-on' Engineer to Assist the Engineering Manager on a number of exciting projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Engineer or Team Leader who is looking to take a step up into management.

Key Duties

• Engage and motivate a skilled team of engineers
• Develop, implement and review of preventative maintenance systems.
• Promotion, development and implementation of continuous improvement culture.
• Assist in the control of engineering expenditure in compliance with budget constraints.
• Manage projects as part of the site capital project plans
• Delivering personal and department KPI's
• Coach and develop shift teams and working with the Shift Supervisors to help achieve this

Skills & Experience

• Ideally, you will be time served engineer with either Electrical or Mechanical Qualifications (HNC. HND, Degree preferred)
• Experience of leading an Engineering / Maintenance team is a distinct advantage, however this is not essential.
• 18th Edition is a distinct advantage.
• A proven track record of managing projects.
• Experience of working with highly automated plc controlled equipment
• Experience of designing, implementing and managing PPM and TPM systems

Salary & Benefits

• 35,000 to 40,000
