Position: Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire

Salary: £50-52K

Shift Pattern: Two different shifts are available - 4 on, 2 off (no weekends) OR 4 on, 4 off

Nicholas Associates have an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, to join an established & growing client in the Sheffield area.

The main tasks and responsibilities of the role include:

  • Accountability for all electrical work (planned / breakdown) occurring on the plant.
  • Providing first line maintenance/breakdown support
  • Managing electrical engineering activities on shift to comply with all internal and external health, safety and environmental requirements
  • Assisting with the planning of shift activities where particular expertise is required.
  • Carrying out and supporting continuous improvement activities when necessary.
  • Providing relevant information and reports of plant breakdowns to assist in the completion of Single Event Analysis (SEA) and acting as a member of the team assisting in the implementation of actions to prevent re-occurrences where applicable.
  • Generating accurate Engineering reports
  • Leading, coaching and developing other employees, including apprentices

You will be:

  • Driven to work in a demanding and challenging environment.
  • Have proven electrical experience in industrial environments.
  • Able to demonstrate a good level of electrical knowledge and practical skills.
  • Able to lead, coach and develop other employees.
  • A good communicator, both verbal & written.
  • Able to demonstrate good planning skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of the health and safety and environmental requirements
