Electrical Installation Engineer - Manufacturing

Are you an Electrical Engineer who has worked in industrial environments? (machinery installations, production/manufacturing plants etc.)

Do you want to utilise these electrical skills in a manufacturing environment to become a full time Electrical Maintenance Engineer that would be site based, tasked to electrically maintain the companies automated plant/production machinery?

If you are looking to get in to the world of manufacturing and maintenance engineering then this could be the ideal role for you!

The basics

Do you want to work the following shift pattern where you only work 1 Saturday day shift in every 3 weeks and no Sunday working?

Week 1 – Monday, Tuesday Days 12 Hour, Wednesday Off, Thursday, Friday Nights 12 Hours,  Saturday and Sunday Off.

Week 2 – Monday – Tuesday Off, Wednesday – Saturday Days, Sunday Off

Week 3 – Monday – Wednesday Nights, Thursday – Sunday Off

Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Swadlincote 

Industry: Manufacturing

Pay: £41,847.52 per annum + OT = earnings of £47,000 and upwards achievable 

Shifts: 3 week rotation

Overtime: Paid at 1.5 after contracted hours and double on a Sunday

24 days holiday, Pension employee contribution up to 5% with employer up to 10% (15% combined)

 

Overview:

With manufacturing facilities located across the UK, you will be working as part of a larger group. The role will offer variation, from projects and installations to reactive and planned maintenance within a varied engineering environment from small to medium machinery and automated robotics to some medium to heavy engineering production methods.

Key responsibilities of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer role:

• To maintain service and repair all automated plant machinery to minimise production down time. (Training given)

• Provide technical support on all projects, installations and breakdowns

• PPM’s

The ideal Electrical Maintenance Engineer will have as many of the following in order to strengthen application:

- PLC experience – fault finding with the potential for some minor modifications beneficial however not a necessity

- Understanding of electrical schematic drawings

- Knowledge of drives and servo motors beneficial

- Knowledge of safety circuits, Invertors, how relays operate, speed control systems beneficial

- Electrical qualified – present at interview

-Must have worked as an electrician within industrial environments

 

Commutable from: Swadlincote, Lichfield, Burton, Cannock, Uttoxeter, Derby and surrounding areas.
