• Job Title: Electrical & Controls Systems Engineer
• Salary: £45,000 to £55,000
• Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire

Nicholas Associates are recruiting for an experienced Electrical & Controls Systems Engineer that is prepared to be ‘hands on’ in carving out a an Electrical / EC&I department within a newly formed manufacturing organisation that are embarking on their next stage of growth.

This is an exciting and unique opportunity to work collaboratively within a small team to develop the quality department and in turn the overall business from the ground up.

Key Duties:

• Carry out electrical and control system fault finding activities
• Create and update equipment electrical design schematics
• Analyse and review electrical design and component selection
• PLC / SCADA programming
• Carry out control system electrical testing activities from cable testing in order to provide cable test certifications, initial power up tests through to final testing and commissioning tests, in line with the control system test and commissioning schedules

About You:

• Formal qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Control Systems Engineering or similar, ideally to HND or Degree level or similar
• Autocad Electrical experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical wiring regulations and 18th Edition
• Experience of HMI, PLC and embedded control systems
• Experience of the design and development of electrical systems and control systems
• Previous experience in the installation and testing of electrical control systems
• Knowledge of safe systems of work, permit systems, Health and Safety etc
