My client is a leading residential civil engineering company, currently looking for an experienced document controller to join their busy team based in Birmingham.

Established as a rewarding and people-focused workplace, this civil engineering and groundworks company serves as a trusted subcontractor to leading housebuilders. The company thrives on repeat business and long-standing partnerships.

Duties include:

  • Keep up to Date Drawing Registers for all Projects.
  • File all new revisions and supersede old revisions as new drawings are issued for all Projects.
  • Assess revision notes and update site team urgently via e-mail of potentially costly missed information.
  • Weekly check of Drawing portals for all Clients that use them and update Project folders based on findings.
  • Monitor RFI e-mails and communicate with site teams in regards to updated and received information.
  • Issue Drawing registers to Quantity Surveyors weekly so they can check everything has been priced to latest revisions.

Requirements:

  • Experience within a document control position
  • Experience within the construction industry (civil engineering is advantageous)
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Attention to details
  • Preferably, experience with using drawing portals: 4 Projects/A Site or similar
