Nicholas Associates Group (Engineering & Technical Division) is recruiting on behalf of a long standing client for a Design Engineer to be based in our clients' modern manufacturing facility in Sheffield.

KEY DUTIES:

• Work within a small team of committed and multi-disciplined engineers responsible for the design development and support of special bespoke products.
• Detail design using both 2D & 3D CAD Packages – Autodesk Inventor / SolidWorks / AutoCAD
• Manage full product lifecycle from concept design to completion.
• Produce design related documentation inclusive of manufacturing drawings and Bill of Materials.
• Liaison with production, suppliers and customers.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (individuals with HNC and relevant industrial experience will be considered)
• Strong knowledge of CAD both 2D & 3D - SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA, AutoCAD etc.
• Experience working on mechanical systems and equipment
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Enthusiastic and motivated.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

SALARY & BENEFITS:

• 25,000 - 27,000 depending on experience
• 8% Pension
• 34 Holidays (Increases with length of service)
