Customer Demand Analyst

My client is the leading seafood processor providing frozen, chilled, branded and retailer branded fish. They are looking for an a Customer Demand Analyst to join their expanding team. Whilst experience in this particular role is not essential, it is desirable that you will have had some experience within Frozen Supply Chain customer service.

Job Purpose

  • To provide excellent service for specific frozen retail customers.
  • Management of timely and accurate order processing
  • Primary daily point of contact for retailer supply chain contacts and internal business manager
  • Interpret customer intelligence to provide the best possible view of short term future sales
  • Support great service through proactive problem solving and identifying opportunities
  • Support Demand planner and initially be part of the team to replace TXT demand planning

Key Accountabilities

Customer Relationship Management

  • Ensure consistently excellent order processing and administration of customer requirements
  • Build relationships and trust with the retailers supply chain partners for mutual benefit
  • Communicate with retailers daily with any shortages to orders and forward availability
  • Manage promotional activity planning, phasing, confirmation, conformance & performance to maximise the promotion.
  • Monthly/Quarterly retailer review presentations with the retailer and Customer Service Manager to review service, promotional performance, forward promotional planning, range reviews.

Optimum forecasting

  • Responsible for the 8/12 week forecast and a 12 month rolling forecast for specific retailers using TXT ( forecasting system)
  • Interrogation of the retailer Intranet information on sales, stocks, distribution to increase forecast accuracy.
  • Monthly forecast meeting with business manager and demand planner to sign off forecast
  • Review forecast accuracy, sales variances and take actions for improvement
  • Work to achieve collaborative single forecast with retailers
  • Review stock availability and identify corrective actions with regard to achieving excellent customer service whilst minimising surplus stock
  • Working closely internally as a team and with the retailers to prevent issues in their supply chain.

Skills and Experience Required

Essential

  • Confidence and presence with internal and external customers
  • High attention to detaiL
  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Be able to work on own initiative to alleviate potential service issues
  • Experience on Excel/Word/Power-point/Lotus Notes
  • Experience in demand planning
  • A strong influencer, able to build collaborative partnerships
  • Some UK travel
  • UK Driving licence
  • Flexible approach with some weekend responsibility
  • Ability to manage and prioritise own workload

Desirable

  • Frozen Supply Chain customer service experience
  • Higher level Education with a potential to progress within the business
  • Experience with QAD and TXT
  • Understanding across all supply chain elements and processes with some FMCG experience
