Position : Contracts & Projects Manager

Salary : 40000 - 50000 per annum plus car and benefits (some flexibility may be possible)

  • assistance for major projects eg installation and commissioning, relocations, outage upgrades

About the role

Based from the Sheffield facility and predominantly covering the Yorkshire and East Midlands area

Pre-Sale

  • Visiting client sites to carry out site surveys and to support the Sales Team in providing accurate quotations and estimates for work packages
  • Ensuring that any relevant prices and costs are available to allow for quotations and tenders to be submitted on time
  • Assisting with any contractual negotiations with regards to the scope of works involved and ensuring that all work taken on is profitable

Post Sale

  • Planning the works with regards to requirements for labour, materials, equipment etc and making sure that what is needed is available and in good working order
  • Working in conjunction with team leaders to ensure that projects are delivered to time, to budget and in accordance with all necessary regulations
  • Managing health and safety on site
  • Acting as the liaison point for the customer during all project delivery
  • Managing any third parties involved in the project

About you

  • Ideally Degree qualified in a relevant subject - this may be engineering or commercially biased
  • Experience of estimating M & E projects / large maintenance support projects, equipment or whole factory relocations
  • Able to calculate costs in terms of man-hours, materials, equipment, transport, 3rd party support etc
  • Experience of managing the delivery of projects. Any formal project management tool or qualifications is preferred, but experience of acting as a Project Manager is essential
  • Proficiency with MS Project is preferred
  • Full UK driving licence is essential
  • Customer facing
