Location: Liverpool Area (site-based)

Hours: 39 hrs/week + overtime (1.5x)

Shift: Mon-Thurs 07:30-16:30, Fri 07:30-12:30

Pay: £17.26-£18.45/hr (£35k-£37.5k)

OTE: Up to ~£48k-£62k with overtime

Eligibility: Must have right to work in the UK

Company

Established, ISO 9001-certified subcontract engineering SME serving high-spec industries (e.g. energy, defence, process). Specialises in precision machined components, including shafts and valve/pump internals.

Role

Join a CNC turning team producing one-off and small-batch components. Duties include programming from drawings, selecting tooling/methods, and machining a range of parts on modern CNC lathes (including live tooling, C & Y axis).

Key Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
  • Strong CNC lathe programming/setting/operating (Fanuc)
  • Able to read detailed engineering drawings
  • Experience with quality systems (ISO 9001)
  • Machining advanced alloys (e.g. duplex, nickel-based)
  • 2+ years' relevant experience
  • Good planning, communication, and attention to detail

Desirable

  • Experience with large-capacity CNC lathes
  • Manual guide programming or CAM software
  • C & Y axis machining, programmable steadies
  • Experience with valve/pump components
  • Familiarity with ERP / Office tools
