Working for a prestigious Aerospace Manufacturer, we now require a CNC Miller – Trainee offline CAD/CAM Programmer to join the business.

The basics:

Shifts: Mon-Thurs 6:00am-2:30pm and Fridays 6:00am-10:30am OR Afternoon shift available if you prefer 3:00pm-11:30pm Mon-Thurs and Fri 11am-3:30pm

Pay: Up to 32,600 base salary + Bonus and overtime = 35,000 and upwards available

Location: Derby

Job Title: CNC Miller - Trainee offline CAD/CAM Programmer

Background required: Must have previous experience working as a CNC Miller, ideally with a precision engineering environment.

The role:

Working within first class aerospace manufacturing facilities you will be tasked to set and operate our milling machinery to produce precision engineered aerospace components.

With training you will be also be programing offline using our CAD/CAM software.

Desired skills required:
- Must be able to set, operate and basic programme/edit online at the machine
- Must be able to read engineering drawings and be confident with measuring equipment micrometres, Vernier's to be able to inspect own parts.

The ideal CNC Miller - Trainee offline CAD/CAM Programmer will possess as many of the following as possible in order to strengthen the application:

- Time Served Apprenticeship

- Competent to set and operate
- Basic online editing skills: Heidenhain advantageous
- The desire to learn CAD/CAM Offline programming
