Search for CNC Miller - Mon-Fri only jobs in Derby
Working for a prestigious Aerospace Manufacturer, we now require a CNC Miller to join the Milling section.
The basics:
Shift: Mon-Thurs 15:00-11:30 and Fridays 11:00-15:30
Pay: Up to 32,500 + Overtime
Location: Must be able to commute to Derby based facility
Background required: Must have previous experience working as a CNC Miller, ideally with a precision engineering environment.
Essential skills:
- Must be able to set, operate and basic programme/edit online at the machine
- Must be able to read engineering drawings and be confident with measuring equipment – micrometres, Vernier's to be able to inspect own parts.
The ideal CNC Miller will possess as many of the following as possible in order to strengthen the application:
- Time Served Apprenticeship
- Competent to run multiple machines – Highly beneficial if the candidate can operate a number of machines in this machine shop precision engineering environment.
- Competent to set and operate
- Basic online editing skills: Heidenhain advantageous
- Manual machining skills beneficial
- The desire to progress and use a range of other CNC operated machinery
