About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading groundworks contractor operating predominantly in the residential sector, specialising in Roads, Sewers, Infrastructure, Bulk Earthworks, and Housing Plot Groundworks.

The business is established and growing, offering a supportive technical team environment and opportunities for career progression. The successful candidate will report directly to the Engineering Manager, who will oversee your development and provide any necessary training.

Key Responsibilities

  • 3D modelling of existing and proposed sites to generate cut/fill analysis
  • Processing survey and drone data, assisting in drone flights as required
  • Assisting with design reviews and developing conceptual site models
  • Manipulating data using AutoCAD
  • Processing drainage and utilities as-built information
  • Participating in regular team meetings
  • Collaborating closely with operational Site Teams and Engineers

Key Attributes

  • Proficient in AutoCAD with construction environment experience
  • Technically minded and inquisitive, able to solve complex problems and deliver work to a high standard
  • Comfortable working to deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, confident engaging with clients and colleagues
  • Experience with Earthworks Modelling Software (Civils 3D, LSS, Agtek, Trimble Business Centre, N4CE) is advantageous
  • Understanding of Civil Engineering and Earthworks is beneficial
  • Any site-based experience within Groundworks Engineering is a plus

Ideal Candidates

  • Current CAD Technicians in construction/civils/groundworks
  • Land Surveyors or Junior Site/Civil Engineers interested in a technical career shift
