With over 20 years' experience, this market-leading Civil Engineering and Groundworks company are subcontractors to both regional and national housebuilders. With a turnover of c£70 million they are financially stable and growing organically. Projects include 278 works, residential groundworks, footpaths, roads, sewers and earthworks.
Responsibilities:
You'll be using your excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills to build relationships and manage suppliers, negotiating prices, and placing orders. Including:
* Managing the day-to-day project procurement of materials.
* Liaising with the on-site teams to source the most cost-effective materials, of the highest quality.
* Monitoring the performance, quality, prices and development of suppliers.
* Identify new potential suppliers and products.
* Prepare quotations and proposals.
* Attend team meetings and site visits.
* Prepare and maintain cost reports to maximise efficiency.
Requirements:
* Proven buying experience, with a focus on groundworks, civil engineering, infrastructure projects
* Strong negotiation skills and a track record of successfully lead complex negotiations with multiple stakeholders.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
