This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast growing, civil engineering and construction company based in the West Midlands.

The company is currently seeking a Buyer, to procure all materials required for ongoing projects and to ensure all materials are provided on time and within budgets. 

Duties & Responsibilities: 

• 
  

  Work closely with the pre-construction and commercial team

• 
  

  Create and develop a robust supply chain

• 
  

  Support in developing buying procedures

• 
  

  Responsible for prequalifying our supply chain

• 
  

  Create strong relationships with the supply chain

• 
  

  Attend project and tender review meetings

• 
  

  Ensure our supply chain evolves in regard to sustainability and innovation

• 
  

  Monitor and review data to enable continuous improvement

Experience Required:

• 
  

  Experience as a buyer (ideally for a groundworks company)

• 
  

  Contacts within the industry, particularly in the builders merchants

• 
  

  Good technical and contractual knowledge

• 
  

  Computer literate

• 
  

  Highly motivated and keen to progress within the company
