Nicholas Associates are working in partnership with a valued client to recruit an Assistant Quality Assurance Advisor.
Our client is a highly successful groundworks contractor, delivering projects for well-known housebuilders and developers. They have built a strong reputation for quality, integrity, and fostering long-term client relationships, supported by a consistent track record of delivering high-quality work.
Responsibilities include:
· Report to a Senior Quality Advisor
· Support the completion of routine inspections across Roads, Sewers, Drainage, Earthworks, Substructures and Externals
· Report any hazards or environmental concerns immediately.
· Capture clear, structured photographic evidence
· Check measurements, levels and basic tolerances with support from senior colleagues.
· Record non conformances accurately and escalate when required
· Contribute to consistent Quality Assurance processes across sites and regions.
· Support site teams with simple quality queries, referring more complex issues upwards
· Reinforce correct workmanship standards through practical, hands‑on guidance.
· Attend toolbox talks, practical demos and internal training sessions
· Always demonstrate safe behaviour.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
· Previous experience in either groundworks, civil engineering, infrastructure, highways, roads or residential projects.
· Understanding of quality standards, inspection techniques, and compliance legislation.
· Ability to influence stakeholders, work with construction teams, and write detailed reports.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· Passionate about reinforcing correct standards and helping embed a right‑first‑time culture within the company
