Our client is an established specialist groundworks and concrete frame contractor. A market leader, the company has built its reputation on the skill, experience, and innovation of its people, and has successfully completed a series of challenging and complex projects in London and the South East.

Based at our client's plant yard in South West London you will support the Plant Manager in the complete control of their plant to cover their sites in and around London.

Duties:

Assisting Plant Manager with placing orders for hired-in plant and equipment.
Ensuring weekly plant reports are provided to sites on a weekly basis
Carry out site costing of owned vehicles, plant and equipment.
Understanding the requirements of the Site Managers on site
Assisting the Plant Manager in overseeing the transport, maintenance, procurement and management of all plant
Ensure weekly plant returns are provided from site
Maintaining central records for routine inspections, testing, etc. renewals/reminders for owned plant and equipment.

Requirements:

Must have previous experience as an Assistant Plant Manager, ideal applicants will have worked in this role for a concrete frame or groundwork subcontractor.
Good communication and computer skills
Knowledge of the construction industry
Works well within a team
Committed to a long-term role
