Our client is one of the leading civil engineering companies in the UK. The Company specialises in the construction of roads, sewers, and groundworks.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To assist the senior buyer in the procurement of materials and services across numerous projects.
• Assist the estimators by acquiring prices for materials for job tenders.
• To ensure the efficient running of day to day procurement related activities including general housekeeping, filing, order placing, document control, site orders and enquiries
• Ensure good communication with the rest of the buying department, with internal and external suppliers, and with work colleagues in the rest of the business.

Experience Required

Our client is looking for an experienced candidate with previous procurement experience, preferably within the groundworks or civil engineering sector. You will be computer literate and fully proficient in the use of Word, Excel and purchasing software.
