Do you have experience building and maintaining relationships?

We are now looking for a account manager to join our aftercare team to work an 18th month contract to provide maternity cover.

The basics:

- Job Title: Account Manager – Manufacturing  

- Location: Annesley

- Industry: Manufacturing – customer account management and customer service

- Pay: £24,00-£26,000

Contract: 18 month maternity cover

- Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm


Reporting to the Aftersales manager you will be an integral member of the Aftercare Sales team responsible for developing and managing business, in line with the broader Aftersales strategy.

This role will require strong commercial experience and analytical skills to identify & secure opportunities for retention of new and existing business. The role demands proven negotiation skills to secure aftermarket contracts across key item groups, at all levels of company hierarchy, from production to director level. The role will require you to work with and support the wider business to facilitate customers with Aftersales Products. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working within a team and on their own, with the confidence and ability to build and maintain customer relationships. We are looking for confident person with a positive outlook who is comfortable reporting against KPI’s and presenting on a routine basis.

Key responsibilities:

Drive a solid, focussed business development plan to a core number of Business Partners, in line with Aftercare business goals and objectives

Nurture and develop client relationships, identifying and liaising with decision makers at all levels

Optimise customer service delivery ensuring ‘best in class’ is achieved

Sales analysis and forecasting to identify target groups and opportunities, monthly reporting to manager reflecting performance against KPI’s agreed

Identify opportunities for growth in line with existing and potential portfolio of products, maximising potential business with each business partner

Awareness of market trends, key suppliers and competitors within the industry at all times, openly shared with the business

The ideal Account Manager – Manufacturing will have as many of the following in order to strengthen application:

Sound understanding of business planning and strategy

Established commercial acumen demonstrated within previous positions

Strong negotiation and influencing skills

Ability to work alone and as part of a team

Sound time management and organisational skills

Excellent analytical and reporting skills

Strong Communication both verbally and written

Knowledge of SAP Business One preferential but not essential
